I Summary
1. Exhibition Purpose:
Based on the success of the First Wuhu China "Liu Kaiqu Award" International Sculpture Exhibition in 2011, and with the theme and exhibition purpose of "Innovation & Transcending", the Second Wuhu China 2012 "Liu Kaiqu Award" International Sculpture Exhibition will further enhance its width and depth of influence with more activities and higher rewarding; more art works and better mechanism would be our goal in bestowing this Second Wuhu China 2012“Liu Kaiqu Award” international exhibition with more outstanding academic quality, distinct art feature to highlight the spirit of the time.

Section1: "Liu Kaiqu Award"

The committee will invite well known home and international experts and scholars to establish the art committee. Based on fair, open and impartial principle, the international arts jury organized by the Second Wuhu China 2012"Liu Kaiqu Award" International Sculpture Exhibition Art committee will launch initial evaluation, re-evaluation and finally select out the awarded works from the contributed and invited art works strictly in accordance with the evaluating standards and procedures. We will release the result through mass media and issue the certificates, rewarding and souvenirs by the Second Wuhu China 2012“Liu Kaiqu Award” International Sculpture Exhibition Organizing Committee.
To regulate the judging process, the "Liu Kaiqu Award" International Sculpture Exhibition will take the challenge system to ensure its openness, fairness and justice.
2.2012 China • Wuhu--the 2nd "Liu Kaiqu Award" International Sculpture Exhibition
Second Wuhu China 2012 "Liu Kaiqu Award" International Sculpture Exhibition plans to display 40 Outdoor landscape sculptures. All the finally fabricated 40 works in the exhibition will be collected by the municipal people's government of Wuhu.

4.All the selected exhibits will be collected and published in the catalogue Works of the Second Wuhu China 2012 "Liu Kaiqu Award" International Sculpture Exhibition. The exhibition committee will present every participant artist one copy of this catalogue.
Section 2: Exhibits Specification
1.Form
All exhibits should be outdoor landscape sculpture, and the designed dimension should be about 3 meters.
2.Open to All Candidates
Any artist from home or abroad with sculpture creation capability and agree with this exhibition's theme and purpose can apply. There is no limitation on nationality, ethnic, age or gender. Professional art institutions and groups both from both home and abroad can also apply in the name of group.
3. Requirements on artworks
All works for the exhibition should be original creation which haven’t been showed to public; the creator enjoys the whole intellectual property rights; the idea should be creative and special while the forms are aesthetically outstanding with strong sense of art and can integrate into the environment of Wuhu; should be implementable, safe and permanent.
4. Collecting Details
(1) Please register online (if you have difficulty in connecting to a network, please contact the committee office) every artist could submit one to three pictures of the work to the committee. Please fill in the registration form and work description formulated by the committee. Related form and material can be downloaded from the China Sculpture Institute Website (www.csin.org.cn); you can also register for free in the office of Second Wuhu China 2012"Liu Kaiqu Award" International Sculpture Exhibition. Artists should send the electronic registration form, exhibits project pictures, personal photo and a scanned copy of ID card (passport) to the E-mail address designated by the organizing committee wuhudiaosudasai@126.com before Mar 15, 2012. If you send more than one piece of work, please make sure that the pictures match the very work description clearly and definitely; clear installation illustration should be provided for works need assembling (all related electronic pictures sent to the E-mail should have a resolution above 300DPI). The registration form should be filled clearly without skip of contents. In principle, the foreign participants (except the ethnic Chinese) should fill the form in English. Overdue applications will not be accepted.
(2) Art committee will make selection in all submitted works according to registration materials before March 25, 2012. The result will be revealed on the official website of Second Wuhu China 2012"Liu Kaiqu Award" International Sculpture Exhibition on March 25, 2012. The art committee will send invitation and exhibition contracts to the selected exhibitors to clarify mutual responsibility, rights and obligations. The selected exhibitors should send the contracts along with a small draft of sculpture work (around 50 centimeters in size) to the art committee to take part in the project exhibition of outstanding works.
5. The Protection of Intellectual Property Rights
(1) The declared program of the artist must not infringe upon any third party's patents, copyrights, trademarks, reputation or any other legitimate rights and interests.
(2)Any text, picture, image, audio or video materials contained in the exhibitors' declared items are under the legal protection of copyright, trademark and other proprietary rights without the consent of the exhibitors, the above information shall not be released to the public.
(3)The exhibition organizer reserves the right in the publication and distribution of catalogue compiling the exhibited works, and could authorize the Wuhu municipal government with usage in public welfare.
6. Publication:
Exhibition Catalogue: all the selected works and part of the outstanding works will be collected in the catalogue. The content of this catalogue includes exhibition introduction, academic articles, exhibition highlights, exhibited artworks, brief introductions of artists and artwork descriptions.
Section 3: the Production of Exhibits
The 40 awarded sculpture works selected out at last, in principle, will be produced in professional factory designated by organizing committee to get produced from May 15 to September 15, 2012. All the exhibitors should come to the designated factory or production site once or twice to supervise the work production while the committee will cover the traveling and accommodation expenses. Meanwhile, the art committee will organize the supervision office to takeoverall coordination and supervision of the production.
Section 4: China Sculpture Forum
We would invite well known experts, artists, collectors, directors from important art institutions and media from home and abroad to enhance the academicquality, explore the theoretical depth, enlarge its overall influences and build high-level cooperative, academic and promotional communication platformthrough high-quality academic seminars, lectures, exchange reception and others.
